Because of COVID-19, many patients often wonder, “Is it safe to go to a dentist near me?” At our dentist office in Van Nuys, we follow all American Dental Association (ADA) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines to ensure the safety of our patients, team members, and guests.

Our Commitment to Patient Safety

At The Dental Care Center, we wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and practice comprehensive safety and sanitation measures to help protect everyone who enters our dental office. Even before the pandemic, we have always practiced impeccable hygiene habits. Although we have upped our clinic’s sanitation practices, our dental office has always been a germ-free zone.

Recent studies have shown that less than 1% of dentists have tested positive for COVID-19, encouraging countless individuals and families to return to their pre-pandemic dentistry routine.

However, we kindly ask you to please postpone your appointment if you have:

  • A fever
  • Any COVID-19 symptoms
  • A decreased sense of smell or taste
  • Tested positive for COVID-19 within the last 14 days
  • Been exposed to someone who tested positive for COVID-19
  • Recently traveled outside of the United States

Staying home when you feel unwell reduces the risk of transmitting sickness, and we appreciate your cooperation in keeping our community safe.

What to Expect at Your Dental Visit

Dental care is crucial, and many oral diseases can be prevented or controlled with routine dentistry. At The Dental Care Center, we go above and beyond to keep you safe and comfortable at all times.

When you arrive at our dental office, one of our friendly team members will ask you to relax in our regularly sanitized waiting room until it’s time for your appointment. We ask that each visitor wears a mask or face covering and practice social distancing for enhanced safety.

The exam and cleaning proceed as usual, including wearing PPE while we treat your smile. All of our equipment and instruments are regularly disinfected, and we dispose of single-use tools immediately after each use. We check your mouth for any signs of decay or disease, and we thoroughly remove plaque from your teeth, reducing the risk of tooth decay and gum disease.

Because of our team’s commitment to exceptional patient care and safety, many people in our community consider The Dental Care Center to be the best dentist in Van Nuys.

To learn more about our safety policies and procedures, please give us a call. One of our friendly team members will be happy to speak with you and answer any questions you may have.
